I’ve been thinking about this one for a while. I know some of you think the theme of this blog is Celtic Thunder. It isn’t really. It’s exactly what it says up above, the view from the penthouse. My view is far and wide. 

I think some of my apprehension stems from the fact that I don’t know if I can really do the justice to this subject that I feel it deserves. I find everything about it truly remarkable. 

I’ve been interested in history for many years. Of course, in all those formative years you hear about the great historical events and landmarks, and possibly dread being tested upon the facts and significance of them. There are some of those that I have seen, many others that would be on the list to see. It’s quite unfortunate that we don’t usually place the same value on the history that surrounds us. We can only hope that at least some of that history has been preserved for learning and the enjoyment of future generations.
