fraud referred to as a “tax loophole”
I’m
angry... is anyone else?

Today I am
angry and you should be too. In fact all hard working Americans should
be angry
and all retired Americans should be past angry. That’s me. Past Angry.
I just
watched a video released from Channel 13 in Indianapolis about a story
that is
absolutely unbelievable to me. Bob Segall interview and investigated
this story
with a tax consultant that brought this to the attention of the IRS and
channel
13. Here is what I am angry about.
Undocumented
workers here in the US who work are required to file a 1040 tax return.
Since
they do not have Social Security numbers they are issued and “ITEN”
number.
Upon examining many of the tax returns it was discovered that many
filed
returns included nephews and nieces who are not even living in this
country as
dependents. Sometimes up to 11 names, but not uncommon to list six or
seven.
The refunds are in the thousands. This isn’t just this year but has
been going
on before the lawmakers eyes for years. This is not just happening once
in
awhile, but approximately two and half million people are filing these
forms
and the refund amount is in excess of four and a half BILLION a year.
That’s
BILLION. By golly when I made an honest mistake one year I was audited
and
ordered to pay up right now. The IRS just calls it a loophole. Well it
should
be closed. But it is not. WHY?
I and many
other Americans spent a lifetime working, doing without, scrimping to
get by,
and doing it all legally only to reach retirement without one half of
the
benefits afforded those who are not legal citizens. It is said that one
in five
of children living right here in America do not have enough to eat.
This
supposedly is a land of plenty. How can that be? We give away far more
dollars
than it would take to feed the children. I am mad and angry that when
wrongdoing is reported no action is taken and certainly no punishment
imposed
on the perpitrators. In fact the findings are being shoved under the
rug, What
kind of government do we have? I will tell you. We have a government
elected by
money, not morals, and certainly not good common sense.
I don’t
care what party a candidate is, but I do care about his credibility,
and that
my friends is what is missing in these United States of America. As
long as we
as Americans allow such actions and continued stupidity we have no
government.
Wait until Medicare premiums are 240.00 a month and that my friend is
just around
the corner. Why as caring and law abiding Americans are we allowing so
much
waste and stupidity? Supposedly large number’s elect these stewards of
our
country. Well the large numbers could decide enough is enough, and if
we do not
make any efforts to stop the insanity we deserve everything we are or
are not
going to receive. Start writing and calling and loudly objecting.
Then vote
accordingly.
