From the Other Side of the Edge….
Of Clowns,….Drug Dealers,…and Voting Rights….
By Joe Facinoli

Why aren’t they EMBARRASSED….????

It was a busy week for U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

What, with granting freedom to most of the low level drug dealers and users now locked up, fielding demands that he investigate that damnable Missouri clown, who dared to wear an Obama mask, during a rodeo skit, and then sidestepping and defying (or becoming) The Supreme Court, on voting rights laws, ….he was busy, busy, busy.

Busier than your average openly vengeful, blatantly criminal, spitefully petty, creatively racist, bigoted blowhard,….anyway.    And we’re supposed to believe that the hated (for good reason) Klan is worse??

Different colored peas, ….same pod.

In no particular order, let’s chat about these recent happenings, and Mr. Holder’s involvement, or his reaction to them.

First up, ….help me out a little here.

We want to investigate some mope clown, in some meaningless, middle American rodeo, who wore a mask of the President, and some other guy made fun of him?

Sounds like something that happened at the bus stop, in Junior High school.

But, still no investigation of, nor even any assistance with one, muchless the mere acknowledgement of, any complicity or neglect of sworn duty by this aforementioned President (or his underlings) in the murder of a U.S. Ambassador, and the three brave Americans who tried to save him, despite orders from this same President’s own people, not to lift a hand to help ???

Yes, I can see now how I got confused.

That clown, and that mask,….much, much worse, and infinitely more offensive.   Why?   Because the Ambassador was white, insignificant, and inconvenient to the “big picture”, while this President is black, and so vitally important to the future of our “progressive” culture.

At least that appears to be the logic of the Attorney General, all of the Administration’s mouthpieces, tap dancers, and explainers, as well as all the media lapdogs who surround this bunch, hoping for a precious and hearty sniff of something, which most clear thinking folks would quickly flush away.

I have a basic and simple question.

Instead of being indignant, and defensive about these happenings, why aren’t they EMBARRASED by them?    By their own actions (or inactions) and behavior, and by the way they knee jerked reacted to them??   And lied about them, over and over, and over still.

Mandatory sentences for drug offenders.

Good idea?  Bad idea?   Who knows for sure, but let’s look at what could be the real motive behind Brother Eric’s new “plan” for this problem, and how he deftly got around it, all of which he unveiled this past week.

Hmmm…..   He’s the country’s top law man, the A.G., the big dog with the big stick.   But his solution?

Just tell the cops not to write down the full extent of the crimes committed by these perps, on the arresting and charging documents, so then the judges don’t have to abide by mandatory sentencing guidelines, if they don’t know what the offender is charged with.

Brilliant, I suppose,….that is, if we were living in Cuba, or Venezuela, or Libya.   But in NYC, or Houston, or Chicago?      There is this pesky thing called “The Law”.   Which judges, cops, and Attorneys General are supposed to uphold?

The real reason for this?    Keep more black men out of prison.   Sorry, but that comes from the “Big Dog” his ownself.   He wants us to know, that he knows, that there is an unequal balance of how many whites vs. blacks there are in prisons and jails around the country.   So, he is simply going to even things up a bit.   Said so himself.

According to statistics, over 40% of all adult black males, from 18 to 45 years old, are in “the system” in one way or another.   Inside already, or awaiting trial, or on parole or probation.

That must be a whole lot of white on black racism that created those numbers.   Could it be so, simply because this group committed more crimes than all the others combined?   For whatever social, or economic, or cultural reasons?

Not the way Holder sees it, nor any of the other apologists, and race mongers.

Why aren’t they EMBARRASSED by all of this?

Instead, they make excuses, and talk about how oppressed they are, and then stay in the same old place, while the rest of the country (and world) moves past them, and leaves them behind, by their own choices, and volition.

The opportunities are there now, but the government and the political parties don’t want to change, for many selfish and oppressive reasons.   Blacks, and any other folks who feel culturally challenged, need to fight beyond that.

Voting rights and photo I.Ds.

Gee, what a terrible, and oppressive idea.    In this time, in this unsurpassed and seemingly unlimited technological, digital, and cyber-magical new world, is it “old school” or “new school” to have to show a govt issued photo I.D. to do, or take part in, or take advantage of, something important?

Probably both.

Like it or not, what kind of life can you have today without a photo I.D. ?    Not much of one.

Can’t have a bank account, can’t cash a paycheck (not without an exorbitant fee taken out of it), can’t get into a lot of buildings, govt or otherwise.   Can’t get a passport, can’t travel, can’t buy tickets in person, or get on a plane, most trains, and many forms of public transportation.   Can’t get medical attention (unless you’re bleeding profusely, all over the E.R.), can’t get into many museums and monuments, or even into most courts, ironically.

No, you can’t do much of anything, for which you would need to prove who you are first, in order to do it.

But you can vote without one.   Talk about irony.

Forget about voter fraud, and multiple voting, and two state voting, and ballot stuffing, ….no way.    That can’t even be considered, not as long as the downtrodden and oppressed among us can’t seem to get off the floor long enough to figure out a way to get a photo I.D., so that we can have the simplest of assurances that the votes cast are the right ones, and the vote count is the correct one.

How much more basic does it get than that?

But nope, A.G. Holder says that the 25% of black Americans, of voting age, who still somehow do not have a photo I.D., will be maliciously discriminated against, if we were to require them to prove (in the most basic way) who they are, before they mark their ballot.

Twenty five percent !!!!!    That’s almost ten million people!   One out of every four black folks !    Shouldn’t he be EMBARRASSED, just bringing that up?????

Whites, btw, are 8%, and I don’t get that either.   I’m embarrassed for all of them, for not having such a base piece of their lives in place.

But the point is, why spend all of that energy, and time, and money that they do, accusing others of keeping them down, and “disenfranchising” the poor and economically disadvantaged?    And instead, spend all of that, and more, in trying to rectify this outrageous situation.

I mean, It’s 2013 for God’s sake, not 1953 !!!    Let’s do better here.    We CAN do better.

Stop ALL the racism, on ALL sides, and in all places.

If the first thing you look at, or notice about another person, is their skin color, or their cultural or sexual orientation, and if that simple bit of information negatively affects how you deal with this person, then that probably makes you either far right or far left politically (both are guilty, in their own ways), but it also makes you a racist, whether you even know it, or not.

People are people.   And as long as they behave in a civil manner, and do no harm,….what they look like, how they dress, which god they worship, and who they hold hands with, ….is none of our business.

And making that your business, makes YOU the one with the problem, ….and no one else.

Peace.   And take care of each other.
