From the Other Side of the Edge….
A 2 x 4 to the
Forehead, …yet Somehow, …still as Arrogant as Ever

An old joke pointedly asks the question: “What does a
thousand lawyers, at the bottom of the ocean, signify?”
The answer, of course, is: “A good
start.”
Well, we may have indeed gotten that fortuitous new beginning last
Tuesday, in DC, and in numerous, formerly “Blue” state capitals all
around the country.
But it seems at least one serious observer, himself a resident of our
nation’s capital (for now), has apparently missed the significance of
the electoral tsunami which passed far and wide, over U.S. voting
booths and polling places, early last week.
He still thinks, amazingly, even after the American electorate served
up an 7.9 magnitude earthquake on the Democrats and their fearless
(make that fear-mongering) leader, that all political processes start
and finish with him, …and his every whim.
To that, one can only point out, that:
“Ignorance is Bliss”, and that: “Stupid is as
Stupid Does”
How else does one account for the attitude, behavior, and words spoken
and exhibited by our formerly popular President, at his post mid-term
election press conference, last Wednesday??
The American voter (those who did vote, as well as those who stayed
home), couldn’t have delivered a stronger message to BHO, if they had
been swinging a four feet long piece of pineboard, 2” thick by 4” wide
at the Prez (with a 3 inch nail protruding from the end, for good
measure), and had found a home for it, …squarely between his eyes!
And yet, the obnoxious, condescending arrogance, directed at the very
people who gave him his “throne”, and the willful, purposeful ignorance
and ignoring of the well-stated beliefs, needs, and desires of this
same well-meaning group, …comes shining through from him, as
always.
It can only be about him, …first, last, and forever.
Right or wrong, …weak or strong, …knowing exactly what he’s doing, …or
just making it up as he goes along, it’s always about him, …and even
moreso, about making you like what he does, …or at least forcing you to
deal with it.
This was a Category 4 Nor’easter hurricane, a monsoon, a
carpet-bombing, and a shellacking, …nothing short of these.
When “blue state” stalwarts like Maryland, Massachusetts, and Illinois,
all elect Republican governors (for Maryland, only the third time in 63
years), and the rest the country has now shown the door to 25 Democrat
Senators who voted for Obamacare, this is not a trend anymore, it’s a
major event, and a defining moment in American political
history.
But Barack Obama, as only he knows how, could still stand there,
comfortably behind his beloved microphone on the day after, and not
only accept not the slightest blame for himself nor his policies in
such a massive defeat and rejection, …but instead, and incredibly,
found a way to threaten us all, after such a humiliating smack
down.
He stood there, in his cold and demeaning, “I’m the smartest guy here”,
kind of way, and said with a disgusted sneer that he wouldn’t sign any
“opposition” legislation which he did not “approve” of (whatever his
twisted standards might be).
And further, told us he would do whatever “He” thought was right
(meaning: whatever he feels like doing), in order to “get
stuff done”, with or without Congress.
Who listens to this nonsense, anymore?? Apparently a
lot of folks did a few years ago, and at least twice, …but today ???
He is now the antithesis of how the “Big Lie” technique is supposed to
work. Lie about something often enough, and forceful
enough, and eventually people will at least forget the truth enough (if
not buying the Lie totally), to allow the “rulers” to have their
way.
This worked for Barry and his cronies in the beginning, and for a while
afterward. But not now.
Even many blacks have become turned off by His meaningless,
self-promoting words and ramblings, and are starting to finally wake up
to what those phrases truly mean to their well-being, long
term.
Conservative thinkers, and anyone who might possess even a lick of
common sense, have seen through him since the first.
And now the Piper has come, in the form of a strange and divergent
group, who, even though a bit tardily, are now seeing their way back to
sanity, fairness and righteousness, and a truly Constitutional
government.
And the spoiled little child can only stomp his feet, and make nasty
threats, and wag his finger at us.
I was waiting for him to say that he was not going to eat his dinner,
and would hold his breath and suck his thumb, while sitting right there
on the White House lawn, legs and arms crossed, and lower lip sticking
out, until he got everything he wanted (like, …the Senate back, for
starters? —ha ha, sorry).
A very wise person once said: “The measure of a man’s
character can be taken, by his behavior toward others, when he has
prevailed in an argument or dispute.”
And especially when it’s only HIM, who thinks (or believes) that he’s
right!!
MLK, Jr. told us, that we can best judge a man “…by where he stands at
times of challenge and controversy.”
Barack Obama knows nothing of this character thing, …but if it will
help him, we should constantly remind him that there’s lots of room
left, at the bottom of some very big oceans out
there.
Oh wait a minute, I forgot, …he’s not a lawyer anymore. My
bad.
