From the Other Side of the Edge….
Sorry, …but Not
ALL Lives “Matter”, …Whatever their Color Might Be

Black Lives DO matter, …at least 99% of them, anyway.
And White ones too, …though probably only 97 or 98% of these fair
skinned souls (there’s an awful lot of really bad white folks out
there).
And Brown, Yellow, and Red can also claim the same percentages of good
and worthwhile people, who walk the earth in these fine
hues.
As well as any other non-descript, or trans-coloured humans, which I
may have left out, …just to be fair and all inclusive (because doncha
know, I’m nothing, if not always politically correct, …uh
huh).
Ok, now that that’s settled, let’s think about the bigger picture, and
just why it is that we are all here, on this big round rock, …third
closest to our Sun, and one of trillions like it, in our ever-expanding
universe.
Whatever your spirituality may be, and whichever belief system you
might subscribe to, I think most would agree that whoever/whatever put
us here, …did so as a huge test, for each of us as individuals, and for
all of us, as a society.
And to see how nicely we would play together, given our extremely
limited intellects, and our collective (and unstable) neuroses, our
psychopathic obsessions, and all those maladjusted, hysterical phobias
and paranoias, which we find around each dark corner we turn, and under
every couch cushion we check so compulsively, …several times a
day.
Seems like these “tests” have pre-determined outcomes, …with all that
to go up against.
Well anyway, at the end of the day (or their lifetime allotment, on
this Big Stone) some folks actually DO pass their tests, and get to
move on to the next grade (where they might even learn to spell, and
figure out that crazy cursive writing stuff—anyone still use
that?).
And unfortunately, …some do not.
While still others (quite likely most), are just re-cycled, and get to
try again, in some other form or function (I don’t think this part is
in the Bible anywhere, although it sounds pretty good).
But here’s the tricky part, …the one that too many people get stuck on,
for no other reason than because they think they
should.
What about those people, …who fail spectacularly, and cause so much
tragedy for so many other innocent folks, …waaayy before it’s time for
their miserable, wretched, and multiple times re-cycled lives to end,
in this mortal lifetime??
What do we do with them? And how are we supposed to
treat them, knowing what they are, and what bad they’ve already
done??
Where do we draw the line, in regards to who stays, …and who doesn’t?
I know, I know, ….who are we to play God, with our fellow humans, and
our metaphysical travel partners and soulmates, …all trying to cheat
our way through the same big cosmic S.A.T. test ???
Well, …sometimes Bunkie, …ya just know.
Sometimes, …it’s just that obvious.
That the world would be better off without a certain individual, …who
breathes our precious air, …crowds us out of our ever-decreasing
personal space, …and whose carbon footprint ain’t exactly replenishing
any of the Ozone layer’s (supposedly) big holes.
When we find these kinds of people, and they’re not too hard to locate
(even a paltry 1 or 2% of a very big number, …is still a big number), I
have no problem at all, …with them being gone.
Take them out, if need be, or just find the most palatable way to
banish them, from the world they seem to enjoy causing so much trouble,
…in, for, and with.
We all should be treated in a manner which we have earned, …and with
the respect we deserve, …based on our actions, and on how much respect
we have given to others.
No more, …no less.
Why should we have to put up with, or continue to be punished by,
people who bring nothing to the table, …and who are only takers,
causers of pain, and makers of nothing more than cruel suffering, …for
most who they meet and touch.
Let’s consider a few extreme examples, before we determine where that
line might be, regarding finding a solution for these “special” people,
who think their “lives matter”, no matter how much mayhem and misery
they bring:
--Ted Bundy (serial killer who raped his dead victims, and beheaded
many of them)
--John Wayne Gacy (a torturer and killer of young boys, who buried them
in his basement)
--Jeffrey Dahmer (another serial killer, …he dined on his victims)
--Charles Manson (enough said, about this one)
--The DC “Beltway Snipers” (killed 10 people and terrorized the
Nation’s Capital, and nearly shut down the entire DC metro area for
almost a month)
And of course, the “usual suspects”, like Hitler, Stalin, Tojo, Pol
Pot, Ho Chi Minh, Mao, Mussolini, Castro, Idi Amin Dada, “Papa Doc”
DuValier, Hugo Chavez, etc, etc.
The list of these unspeakable demons, …goes on and on.
Certainly, these chosen few would make anyone’s list of people we
wouldn’t want walking around with us anymore.
But where is the line?
If we get rid of serial killers and maniacal dictators, …then why not
take out “ordinary” murderers? An eye for an eye, and
all of that, …but it just seems like a fair slice of justice, to
me.
How ‘bout individuals who make it their life’s work to ruin other
people’s lives? Like, say, …a Bernie Madoff, for
example. Anything good come of his
life? How much suffering did he leave behind??
And finally, at the bottom, we’ve reached the street
criminal.
The drug dealers, large or small, who destroy lives, in any number of
ways.
The habitual, petty thieves, who wreak havoc on neighborhoods, and
small businessmen, and who tie up the time of too many cops, while
driving prices and insurance rates up, for their selfish
efforts.
And the deplorable, despicable street thugs.
We see them, and hear about them, every day. Rap
sheets that read into tomorrow. No respect for authority,
no plan of any kind, just takers, abusers, and true skirters of the
law, on every level.
Sound like anyone familiar? Only on every day’s news,
…in nearly every American city.
These self-glorified scum (worse than scum) roam around unchecked,
doing to anyone, anything they wish, creating nothing (except pain),
while bringing only fear, despair, and disillusionment, to those who
still want so much to care, …and are simply trying for a better
life.
Ya see, ….that line keeps moving, doesn’t it? And a
lot farther south, …than when we originally thought about
it.
Let’s rid ourselves, …first of these worthless examples of human life,
who are failing that “test”, by any measure, ….and finally, of the
guilt too many still have, for expunging the planet of these
vermin.
