It’s Time, and
a No-Brainer, ….Legalize ALL Drugs, …and the Murders Go
Away (I’m Serious)

It’s all about the Benjamins.
Money, …is the Root of all Evil.
Money, …sets the World in Motion.
Money talks, …and B.S. walks.
For the Love of “…Money, Money, Money, …Mo—Ney, ...people will
Steal from their Mother, …Rob their own Brother, …they will Lie, and
they will Cheat, …and can’t even walk the
street…” --The O’Jays
Money, …is the way we keep score.
Street Crime, …is about money. One
Hundred Percent.
Virtually all street violence is related to illegal drugs, …in one way,
or another.
And illegal drug dealing, drug crimes, drug related assaults,
robberies, and murders, …are about money.
Nothing more, and nothing less, …One Hundred Percent.
Eliminate the profit from this obscene activity, …remove the
opportunity for the easy money, …and you rid the country of the
greatest scourge, …and drain on our humanity, …that we’ve ever
witnessed, suffered through, …or known.
No way to accurately quantify, …but common sense tells us that one HUGE
percentage of all crimes committed, …and of all monies spent on crime
enforcement, investigation, prosecution, prevention (the biggest waste,
by far), and incarcerations, …has to do with the sale and distribution
of illegal drugs.
Billions upon billions of dollars. Probably Hundreds
of Billions.
So why do we continue this senseless and futile insanity
? Why don’t we just simply eliminate the source of
the problem ????
Legalize ALL drugs, and then have the Federal and State governments
sell them at drastically reduced prices, …and control
them. No licenses, for anyone else.
We have proven beyond any tiny, sliver of a wavering doubt, …over the
last 75 years, …not only that we cannot possibly win the “War on
Drugs”, …but that we can’t even keep up with it, …muchless compete with
it, on any level.
Did we learn nothing, …from the Prohibition of alcohol, in the 1920s
and 30s ???
From the rampant and ravenous crime of that time, initiated and
originated by the Do-Gooder Law of all do-gooder
laws? The one with the most tragic unintended
consequences of all time, ever dreamt up (and never once recognized as
possible), by any person, anywhere ??
Why do we persist in mindlessly ignoring the origin, source, and
reality of so much of the crime which takes place daily, in not only
all of our major cities, but in most small towns and rural areas as
well ???
It is the Nine Million pound gorilla, …in the middle of every squad
room, police station, city hall, and state and county legislature,
…everywhere in America.
It sits so tightly on top of all of the misery, suffering, social
stagnation, and tremendous and unnecessary loss of life, and draining
of life from so many, that thousands and thousands of political,
social, religious, and community leaders simply act, incredibly, as if
it is not even there !!
They all talk about “Ending the Violence”, and “Re-educating our Young
People”, and “Bringing Back Values”, and “Working Together”, in order
to “Take Back Our Streets”.
They make me sick.
All these Do-Gooders, and Social Organizers, Spiritual Guidance
Coordinators, and Legislative Geniuses, simply make me want to
vomit.
They have no clue, …no understanding of History, …nor of Human
Nature.
When you give people who have no conscience, nor sense of right and
wrong, an opportunity to make more money than can be imagined, legally
or not, …and don’t have nearly enough resources to control them, …then
social chaos, legal mayhem, and needless and widespread suffering will
ensue.
Period. It is the proven nature of humans, …all over
this earth.
These same people will fight to the death (while taking a lot of others
with them, before they go), to maintain their “right” (and territory)
to pursue this illegal, soulless, and unbelievably profitable
activity.
Money changes people, …quickly and forever.
While the Greed it engenders, though possibly “good” sometimes
(according to Gordon Gekko, in the movie “Wall Street”), …eventually
controls everything.
And when left virtually unchecked, for decades and decades, …it
eventually destroys everything, which foolishly ventures into its
relentless path.
It takes down entire neighborhoods, and even whole cities, while
changing the fiber of our American culture, on so many, many
levels.
If suddenly there were no abhorrent profits to be made from them, the
distribution of illegally made, grown, manufactured, obtained, and
possessed drugs and pharmaceuticals, would dry up faster than raindrops
in the Mojave Desert.
And with it, the vast majority of inner city crime, and crime anywhere,
which is associated with this global network of organized
criminality.
It is so simple, …so basic, …and so easy to see and figure
out.
Yet so difficult for those in power to pull the trigger on, because of
all the “Money” (there’s that word again) they have either invested in
the infrastructure of drug enforcement, or the “Money” (uh, …once more)
which they would have to give up, from Federal and State grants to
police departments and agencies, who perpetuate this unworkable and
completely useless social and political insanity.
Just give the drugs away. Problem solved.
Or have the states, or counties, or cities sell them so cheaply, that
no illegal cabal or syndicate, nor local or national gang would make
enough to survive, while trying to compete.
If a daily dose, or “hit” (or doses/hits) of a chosen drug/poison costs
a dollar to make or obtain (or five dollars, or ten, or whatever), have
the government sell it for that, plus a one dollar tax, and put the
money towards the medical needs of those addicted.
Or subsidize it completely, using the money saved from not having to
chase these “bad guys with guns” anymore, …nor keep hundreds of
thousands of Americans incarcerated any longer, who are guilty of
nothing more than drug dealing and possessing.
What could be simpler ?? Both economically and
socially, …but also in terms of public safety ????
Oh, …the social hand-wringers will tell you how bad it will be, on
those poor and uneducated souls, who have bad or no guidance in their
lives, who will suddenly leap at this new “toy” with no restrictions on
it, …and that use and addictions will spike towards the
stratosphere.
Uh, …like that isn’t already happening, …illegally, and right under
these Do-Gooders’ watchful and controlling eyes ??
And at the cost of Billions of wasted taxpayer dollars, which might be
so well (and productively) spent elsewhere (anywhere else).
Not to mention the needless incrimination of millions of Americans, who
might be able to lead far more productive lives without their pointless
convictions, brought about by this bogus pursuit of manufactured
criminals, or who might otherwise get desperately needed treatments,
for forced addictions and other medical issues.
Do we really think that more people would voluntarily choose this
lifestyle, …than the number who have it forced upon them now, by this
insidious group of organized thugs/businessmen, who couldn’t care less
about what their trade does to ordinary and unsuspecting human beings,
as long as their profits stay high ??
I hardly think so, …but if you do, then you are, …plain and simple,
…wrong.
Could there be some sort of increase in usage? Of
course.
But what’s the national increase in the use of heroin, and crack, and
PCP, crystal meth, Ecstasy, Molly, and a whole host of other “natural”
and man-made substances, …each year, right now, …while they are all
supposedly, …uh, …”controlled” ??
Off the charts, …and setting dubious records every year.
And how many people die, or are assaulted, or have their lives
physically, emotionally, and/or legally ruined, by this organized
terror and heartbreak, and the “billy-club” approach that the modern
legal system has for correcting all of this ???
Far, far, FAR too many. And so
needlessly.
Let’s save tens of Billions of dollars each year, which are used to
enforce laws that we’ve already learned are un-enforceable (from actual
recent experiences, as well as how wonderfully successful that
Prohibition of Alcohol experiment went, nearly a hundred years ago),
and spend it much more wisely, and purposefully.
Let’s use these savings to actually help those with addictions, who
have them now, or who will fall into them later, …without criminalizing
all of them, and stopping their lives from functioning, because of
that.
And without all the death and carnage, …physical, social, emotional,
and political, …that the current system leaves behind it.
Next project, will be the use and abuse of prescription and other
over-the-counter drugs, which proliferate everywhere, and cause the
ruination of too many lives, as well.
But “ ‘scripts” and “OTC” drug abuse, mostly comes from individual
choices, and doesn’t cause much in the way of territorial street wars,
and the attendant executions, pay-back murders, and ‘messages sent’
assaults that street drugs do.
Let’s stop the street crime madness first, …and then go for helping the
individuals.
Think about this, long and hard, and get over the natural instinct to
say it would be awful to give poison, free, to those who make the poor
choice of asking for it, …yet don’t know any better.
It’s not like that.
This is about stopping an epidemic of death and destruction, caused by
a legal and economic system that ran aground, culturally, decades
ago. Cut it off at its source, and the problem
disappears.
It’s the only way now. All others are proven
failures.
I normally like, and ask for, honest and open
discussion. But if you disagree here, save your
breath, …because, as I said, …you are wrong.
Look around, …I have. And I’m fairly close to
it. What’s in place now, is clearly, and tragically,
…not working.
All you have to do is pay attention, and think in a straight line, like
a business person, …and not like a mindless social hand
holder.
The solution is right in front of us, …let’s just do it.
We will survive whatever happens, …and will be in a much better place,
than where we are right now.
Which is nowhere.
