A Thank You to
the Teachers
Educating young people is one of our nation’s most important
responsibilities. A quality education provides students with the
knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges of 21st century.
Our teachers strengthen and enrich not only individual students, but
entire communities and our nation.
One of the ways we celebrate the vital role teachers play is by
celebrating National Teacher Appreciation Week. This week, U.S. Senator
Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) introduced a
bipartisan resolution recognizing the contributions of the teachers in
the lives of their students.
Sen. Brown continues to support policies ensuring that every Ohioan has
access to a high-quality education. Passionate, dedicated teachers are
essential to that goal. While we designate this week to say a special
“thank you" to the hardworking teachers in Ohio and across the country,
each and every day we appreciate the contributions teachers make on
behalf of our students.
