It’s that time
of the year
It is 21 days until Christmas. This is the time those of faith think
about our Creator and the message He sent to us through is Son Jesus.
This is the time people of all faiths and leanings think of the season
of celebration, thanks and giving to loved ones and those less
fortunate.
And this is the time when children all over the world dream of
beautiful trees with stars and angels and lights and globes of all
sizes decorating them… cookies with wonderful new tastes and coverings
that melt in their mouths… and toys!
Toys, of course, lead to thoughts of Santa Claus, Rudolf the Red Nosed
Reindeer, North Pole, Elves and Santa’s famous trip around the world on
Christmas Eve. Once again we will be offering www.NorthPole.com so your
child or grandchild can play games, read stories and follow Santa’s
annual preparation and journey.
County News Online, as it has in years past, will be celebrating the
season with you. Each day we will offer you thoughts and sharing of
Christmas, the holidays and, of course, Santa Claus.
Our first offering this weekend is a true story from a local Edison
Community College student. She remembers and writes about a Christmas
in her past. We think you will not only enjoy it, but it will help you
set the mood of the season.
