County News Online Christmas

The “holiday” shopping season began on Black Friday… or was it actually on Thanksgiving Day… yeah, well, probably it started a week or two before Thanksgiving for some merchants.

Then there was Small Business Saturday. And then there was Cyber Monday. I’m all for business and the economy, and most retailers rely on a great holiday shopping season in order to make their profits for the year. But somehow, somewhere down the line, the concept of Christmas got lost.

Not at County News Online.

Last weekend we introduced Christmas with a heart-warming story from an Edison student about an early Christmas in her life. And we’ve offered an article each day since then.

Yesterday was, in our opinion, the true beginning of the Christmas season… the 12th Day of Christmas. Today is the 11th Day… Stay with us as we continue to offer thoughts of the Season through Christmas Day. Enjoy the innkeeper’s story of the Holy Birth, the origins of the song Holy Night, a country Christmas and much more. We will also have a Christmas offering from our Poet Laureate Lois Wilson.

Our special offering for today is the History of the 12 Days of Christmas. Enjoy.
