That “Special Dog’s Story” now available to readers
Proceeds to benefit CNO and the Senior Scribes Scholarship Fund

After decades of having his story told to grandchildren and friends, Yogi Boy Cox has achieved immortality through a new book... “Yogi Boy Cox and Friends,” by Senior Scribe Marianne Cox Clark.

It’s sale will benefit young people seeking scholarships through the Senor Scribes Scholarship Fund. All proceeds will be turned over to County News Online to perpetuate its goal of provide community news and information to the public and using the profits for scholarships.

“You only have ‘one’ good dog,” Clark said. “Yogi Boy was ours. You can have wonderful dogs afterward, and they might come close, but they never quite measure up.”

She added that she has told these stories for more than 30 years. Over time she began witing them down, with some of them being published on the Senior Scribes page of The Early Bird.

“I told them to my grandchildren in the beginning,” she said. “After telling them over and over, I got the idea of writing them down and giving them as a gift to the grandchildren.”

As others wanted to hear the stories, the idea for the book, ‘Yogi Boy Cox and Friends,’ was formed.

“These are true stories,” Clark said. “I’d like to dedicate the book to the good Dr. Daly at Ohio State University. Without his diligence in treating Yog, this story would not have ended as it did.”

The book is available in local bookstores; also through Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, and Xlibris.com or by calling 1-888-796-4374 Ext. 7879.
