Probably Just Me

Hi, all!! Maybe it's just me - it probably is - just me. But - everyone - well; most people, agree that "everything is made in China." And that China is our enemy...that China owns us." But - I think we are paying China to be our enemy - to own us!! And here's how I come to that conclusion.

Every year "'long 'bout school time" (August) - China ships stuff over here to us - to be "in style" when the kiddies return to school for another year of learnin'. Granted - someone ordered the stuff. But - have you ever stood back and looked at this "stuff?" For Jrs - (starting about 7th grade) - I've seen hookers wear more clothing! Seriously - when the neckline falls below the collar bone; isn't that an invitation for the guys (of all ages) to take a second look? And we do this to be "in style" - Oh Lordie, we can't be out of style - it will not do - what would the people say?

And we go through this scenario around Thanksgiving (the new holiday fashions!!). Also - if you have not noticed - stores in the area have out the swimsuits. These are last years - by the way. I started watching. They were clearanced last year. Now - they are (or were 2 weeks ago). full price. The Easter clothes will be out soon, too. You can't wear last year's duds - oh my, no! This one probably amuses me the most. Really - if you believe Easter is when Jesus Christ arose - Why would He care what you are wearing when you attend the Sunday Services? Wasn't His crucifixion the "big event? "From what I've read - He did not seem to care what the people were wearing when they crucified Him. So - why would He care what you wear sitting in a comfortable pew, in a building that's climate controlled?

Almost to add insult to injury - we pay for this stuff with credit cards - largely owned by - you guessed it - some bank over seas (are they all working together - someone over there was buying our gold, silver, platinum, and loose diamonds) with branch offices in - right again, readers - our USA!! General Finance is one of those companies that I know. They deal in money orders and credit cards (small time retail clothing mostly - Avon Fashions, Lane Bryant, etc.).

So, in my mind: China ships products here. We (as a people) pay with credit cards (too many Visas, MasterCard, etc.) that are foreign owned. The purchase price (or a large percentage of it - maybe half?) goes to China - along with a healthy interest rate. Lowe's Credit Cards are foreign owned - check - I did. Since we, as a people, can not tell the kiddies when to have or not have sex (sputter & gag) - doesn't that give the "enemy" and open market? I mean - while we are debating whether gay people should be allowed to marry or the kiddies be sexually active (come on - look how they dress!) the enemy has dictated to us how we live (what we wear, drive, sleep & sit on, etc) - and by default - how we will pay for it. Further, I believe if we don't get the kiddies in a different mind-set (credit cards for 16 yr olds? Come on, people!) we won't need to debate any issues more complex than where our next meal is - we will not own anything else.

And, I just have to say this - Russia vehemently disagrees with homosexuals - married or not. The USA looks at Russia with disdain and say "Oh, how could you?" Russia looks at us with the same bad taste in their mouth and probably thinking - "You'll be sorry someday." I would agree with Russia. If you have a country of people who can not physically reproduce - in maybe 20 years there would be no one to work, defend the country, etc.

Lastly, regarding the ongoing saga of Republican/Democratic lies - Here's a riddle for you: When does a liar become not a liar? Answer next week.
