Hi, all!! The following is from a one Mr. Scott Gauthier - a black man.
"How ya'll doin', America? We're gonna talk just a little bit about the
Confederate Flag - just for a second. Just for a second we're gonna
talk about the flag. See this flag? See this Confederate Flag behind
me? A lot of people think it was just meant for slavery or was fought
on racism. And it most certainly was not. Just to get everybody's mind
in a little bit of history - the Draft was even started for black
people when the Confederates were fighting. I'm pretty sure a lot of
you didn't even know that. But they fought for the Confederacy as free
men…
So now everybody talk about the flag being racist and this and that and
the third. Now everybody just think about the shirt you're wearing -
that you been wearing for years - years before your grandsons were born
- and all of that and the third. You all been wearing cotton shirts -
somebody was picking it - right? So I just wanna know - if you all
think the Confederate Flag is racist - why then you all still wearin'
cotton shirts? Because it all represents the same thing - the bloody
fingers that was pickin' the cotton…
But if you think it was just black folks that was slaves - you are
sadly mismistaken. Almost every race has been a slave one or part of
the time - almost every race. And black people - you all haven't had
the worst. You actually got away from something. Because let me tell
you something - there was slaves in Africa. You were a slave down here
and a slave in Africa. Get over it. It wasn't you. You didn't do it.
Get over it…
Stop blaming other people. Stop blaming other people who had nothing to
do with slavery. Stop doing it - it ain't worth it. This flag does not
mean this no more - maybe once during a war - to a very select few. The
war was not fought on slavery. If you think that you're important -
you're pretty ignorant - if you think a war was fought on slavery. I'm
just askin' ya'll, America - what do you think?
The information you just gained you gotta find because they ain't gonna
teach it in school. Educate yourself and learn something before you
just completely start throwing hate on something - before you even know
anything about it. Do ya'll homework. I'm out."
