Once again Senior Scribe Poet Laureate Lois Wilson is on top of the
season with her insightful look at the important events of the day.
In this case, it’s football! Playoffs are coming! Bowl games are
coming! So who will play on New Year’s Day? For the National
Championship? In – the – Superbowl?
We wait with baited breath.
Wilson's completed set has a new edition – now six volumes – of
published poetry. Volume 1 is out of print and no longer available,
however Volumes 2-6 are available and are offered as a fundraiser for
the Darke County Scholarship Fund. Enjoy great poetry and help a local

Men get out of
sorts
If they can't
watch sports.
They think teams
are grand,
Amateurs and
pros.
Throughout all the land,
Every woman knows-¬
Sports are the true reality shows!

WHAT’S THE SCORE?
There are programs which men seek
All through the year, every week.
Engrossed in a football game—
They watch sports; they’re all the same.
The wife may pause from cooking
To check if spouse is looking.
For women are known to sneak
A curious, furtive peek.
