Darke County Senior Scribe
Out of the Woods
By Lois Wilson

Once again Senior Scribe Poet Laureate Lois Wilson is on top of the season with her insightful look at the important events of the day.

In this case, she wraps up the season: the political season. Again. It seems Hillary won’t go away. According to Politico, some are loyal to the end, some are incredulous, thinking “is she really thinking?” and some are wondering when she will go away so they can rebuild their party. Who’s to say?

Wilson's completed set has a new edition – now six volumes – of published poetry. Volume 1 is out of print and no longer available, however Volumes 2-6 are available and are offered as a fundraiser for Empowering Darke County Youth. Enjoy great poetry and help a achieve his or her educational goals. For additional information, contact editor@countynewsonline.org.

OUT OF THE WOODS

Hillary’s back with a new twist
And a new slogan for the left:
“Resist, insist, persist, enlist!”
As always, her pitch is quite deft.
She’s pleading for large donations—
Groups will get their allocations.
She asks all to give and assist.
Could the DNC end bereft
Since so many times she has missed?
