Eldora 2012 Ticket Sale Campaign Meets with Success
Sales to 33 States and 4 Countries To Date

ROSSBURG, OH (December 6) – Enthusiasm and anticipation best describe the 2012 Eldora Speedway racing season as seen through the eyes of race fans, based upon results from the recently launched ticket campaign.

“Going into the opening day of public sales, we were confident that that the numbers would be good, based upon a 98% return on offered renewals,” stated Eldora ticketing manager Tess Thwaits. “But that ‘confidence’ turned into ‘being overwhelmed’ by the end of Saturday’s kick-off”.

Since 10 a.m. on Saturday, tickets for Eldora’s 2012 major events have been purchased from patrons in 33 states, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Great Britain. Up for purchase are reserved seats and general admission tickets for the Feed The Children Prelude to the Dream (June 6), Dirt Late Model Dream (June 8 & 9), Knight Before the Kings Royal (July 13), Kings Royal (July 14) and the World 100 (September 7 & 8).

“While the majority of the sales were completed online, we had a knowledgeable staff on hand to handle the phone lines. The process worked flawlessly and we’re proud to be able to accommodate the fans in such a smooth manner,” continued Thwaits, granddaughter of Eldora founder Earl Baltes.

Plenty of great seats, including the front stretch grandstand, remain for each of the marquee Eldora events, and may be purchased online atwww.EldoraSpeedway.com 24 hours a day, or by telephone (937) 338-3815 during normal business hours.

With the ticket requests continuing to come in, the next step of the process is to print and mail the tickets to the patrons. “We recently received our ticket stock which will enable us to begin the printing and mailing process,” advised Thwaits. “Our goal is to begin mailing tickets within two weeks.”

While Thwaits remains busy with the ticket sale campaign, the balance of the Eldora staff is putting the finishing touches to the 2012 slate of events and on site camping renewal program.

A sneak preview of the 2012 menu, the 59th consecutive season of racing at Eldora Speedway, will be unveiled this week at the IMIS (International Motorsports Industry Show) in Indianapolis.

Based upon the success of the online ticketing program, the staff is working on creating site maps for the campgrounds to be able to offer online purchasing of campsites for the major events. Details, as they are developed, will be announced on Eldora’s website.
