Poll: OSU’s Urban Meyer will win title in five years

Eighty-five percent of local football fans think new coach Urban Meyer will bring Ohio State    a BCS Championship within five years and more than half think Urban can bring home the national title within the first two or three seasons.

That’s according to an online poll this week by the Dayton Business Journal. Of 278 total respondents, more than half said it will take Meyer two or three seasons to get the Buckeyes to the top of the heap.

Only 15 percent of readers felt Meyer would never win a title at OSU. 

While not scientific, the poll does provide a snapshot of what DBJ readers are thinking. Dayton-area retailers and sports bars hope to cash in on a renewed sense of Buckeye pride.
