Tri-Village jumped out to quick 15-6 first quarter lead and then a 27-9 halftime lead in their home opener against Franklin Monroe. The Jets tried to make a game of it in the second half but couldn’t erase the 18 point first half deficit.

The Patriots were led by Kyle Pipenger with 23 points and 3 steals. Shade Brubaker chipped in 15 points and dished 4 assists. Matt Werner also dropped 4 dimes, while Evan Barger and Tyler Cook each pull down 5 boards a piece to lead T-V respectively in those categories.

Franklin Monroe got 11 points from senior Jaden Horner and 10 points from Grant Skelton.

The Tri-Village win was the 100th overall for Head Coach Josh Sagester who is in his 8th year at the school.

“I’m happy to get the win and hope to get many more for this program and the school in the future”, commented Sagester.
