Wave wrestlers pinned
in Coldwater

COLDWATER- After going 4-1 in its invitational Saturday, Greenville
found the going rough Tuesday at Coldwater.
The Wave grapplers fell to host Coldwater (67-11) and Tipp City (39-34)
on a night that saw Jon Edwards (152) record two technical falls to
remain undefeated on the season.
“Very frustrating night,” said Wave coach John Shutts. “We had one
young man with a skin issue and one young man not make weight.”
Against Coldwater, Greenville lost seven of it’s first eight weight
classes with Edwards getting a pin while Wave 285 pounder, Nate
Livingston won by forfeit.
“Coldwater’s very tough, aggressive, disciplined, well coached, and
talented,” Shutts stated. “Against Tipp City we just dropped the ball.
They beat us fair and square and we have to deal with that.
“I don’t have us ready, but I will get us ready, there is not doubt
about that,” Shutts continued. “We’ve got some issues to address and
fix. The sun came up today, so we will fix them.
The Wave varsity will be idle until December 29-30 when they will
wrestle in a holiday meet at the Nutter Center.
