V-Tigers undefeated with win over Ft.
Recovery

FORT RECOVERY – The Versailles Tigers stayed undefeated on the season
with a 46-21 victory over Ft. Recovery Friday by using big plays in the
first half and good defense in the second.
Ethan Bruns was the go to man Friday night, hauling in 10 catches for
222 yards and 4 touchdowns. Bruns also had two interceptions on defense
including one in the Fort Recovery end zone that stopped an Indian
drive.
The Tiger offense kept the Tigers in the game in the first half. The
Tiger defense gave up 21 points to the Indians and were down three at
the half 21-18. Versailles made some halftime adjustments on defense
that gave their offense field position.
The Tigers were able to score early and often in the second half to
build a lead that they would not give up.
Nick Campbell had another great game throwing for over 300 yards and
six touchdowns. Big brother Mitch Campbell was on the receiving end of
two of them, while Bruns caught the other four. Nick also ran for a
touchdown.
The Versailles offense put up some big numbers again, totaling 478
total yards. Nick Campbell hit on 18 of 33 passes for 377 yards passing
and six touchdowns, with four of those going to Ethan Bruns. Bruns
caught 10 passes for 222 yards while Mitchell Campbell had the other
two touchdowns. Nick Campbell also scored on a 12-yard run. Bruns had
two interceptions for the Tigers defense. Versailles also rushed for
101 total yards on the night.
