Jeff Nisonger drives I Look Foxy to the win in the innagural Gail Dubb trot in the third at the Darke County Fair Friday.

Racing action kicks off at the county fair

GREENVILLE- Nine races lined the speed card at the Great Darke County Fair Friday as multiple drives picked up two victories on the night. 

Tom Hope got victories in the second with Memory Miles and again in the seventh with Hollywood Hustler, a horse trained by his son Christopher Hope. 

Jeff Nisonger also got wins in the third and eighth races of the night. 

Nisonger drove I look Foxy to the win in the second and turned around and scored again in the eighth with the win in the eighth driving Crosswind Colleen to victory circle. 

Also in the fourth, Big Red, driven by Mark Winters had a lifetime mark of 2:00 in the mile pace as did Hometown in the fifth a horse owned by Ronald Wulber of Versailles. Hometown took the trot in a time of 2:07.2. 

Again, admission to all harness race events at the fair is free to the grandstands. Racing action will continue Saturday with 1 and 7 p.m. post times.
