Trojans fall to Tri-Village

NEW MADISON- It's becoming a well said phrase, "They were no match for the Patriots."

That phrase was echoed again Tuesday in New Madison as the Patriots dropped a 72-28 loss on Arcanum in Cross County Conference play.

It was a game that was never in doubt as the Pats held leads of 21-9, 42-16 and 52-22 at the breaks.

Led by a 22 point effort from senior Kyle Pipenger, Tri-Village put three in double figures as Matt Werner dropped in 13 with Colto Linkous chipping in with 11 of his own in support.

With the win, the Patriots remained undefeated and will play at Twin Valley South Friday and at Preble Shawnee on Saturday.

Arcanum will host Newton Friday and will be idle until the Jet Tournament that will feature the Patriots and Mississinawa Valley along with the Trojans and host Franklin Monroe.

Other Tuesday night scores:
TVS 55, Ansonia 50
Bradford 51, Newton 44
