Boys, Girls action for the coming week

CNO Hoops...

In just seven days, the OHSAA boys sectionals will get underway across the state as the ladies will be two weeks into their tournament schedule.

Action for the guys will kick off Friday as the 10 seed, Ansonia Tigers, will square off with the number three seed, Lehman Catholic Cavaliers, in the D-IV Piqua sectional.

Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 25, will see four Darke County teams in action.

Tri-Village will get it started in the D-IV Troy sectional as the Patriots and Emmanuel Christian will tip-off at 5:30. Following the Patriots game, Franklin Monroe and Southeastern will lock horns.

At Piqua Saturday, Mississinawa Valley will meet top seed, Jackson Center at 6 p.m.

In the D-II Tecumseh Sectional, Versailles and National Trail will go at 6:30 p.m..

D-II Greenville drew a first round bye at Springfield. The Wave will meet the winner of the Urbana-Milton-Union contest.

Bradford also took a first round bye in the Piqua sectional. The Roaders will get the winner of the Jackson Center-Mississinawa Valley game.

Girls Hoops

Today, the D-IV girls sectional will start at Brookville as the Mississinawa Valley Lady Blackhawks will be in action starting at 11 a.m. Ansonia will follow in the second game and Tri-Village wiull see action in the fourth game of the day.

Wednesday, Feb. 24, the Franklin Monroe Lady Jets will take on the winner of the Twin Valley South-Covington game. Tip time is 6 p.m.

Bradford will play Emmanuel Christian Thursday, Feb. 25, at Brookville in second round action starting at 7:30.
