The Cincinnati Reds have partnered with Kroger, and club will offer its
tickets for sale through Ticketmaster retail outlets inside 57 Kroger
stores in Dayton, Cincinnati, northern Kentucky and southeastern
Indiana.
Pitchers and catchers have reported, which means baseball season is
getting close.
Those of you already looking to snag tickets to see the Reds are in
luck.
The Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday announced a new
partnership with Kroger Co. , in which the club will
offer its tickets for sale through Ticketmaster retail outlets inside
57 Kroger stores in Dayton, Cincinnati, northern Kentucky and
southeastern Indiana. That includes 22 Kroger stores in the Dayton area.
”Having Kroger stores selling Reds tickets makes it easier than ever
for our fans to come to a game,” said Phil Castellini, Reds chief
operating officer.
Those fans who purchase tickets at a Kroger Ticketmaster location will
receive a voucher for a free “Kroger Meal Deal” — a regular hot dog, 16
oz. soda, a bag of chips and a snack — at Great American Ball Park. The
offer only applies to tickets for weekday games for seats in the
mezzanine or terrace line sections and is not applicable for the April
5 or July 18 games.
While 10-game Reds Power Pack tickets already are on sale, single game
tickets won’t go on sale until 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.
To kick off ticket sales and to celebrate the new partnership with
Kroger, Reds mascots, members of the John Morrell Reds Rally Pack and
the Reds Rover SUV on Feb. 25 will visit Kroger stores.
Area store visits include:
• 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lebanon Kroger, 1425 Columbus Ave., and
• Noon to 1 p.m. at West Chester Kroger, 8238 Princeton Glendale Road.
With the Reds located less than an hour drive from much of the Dayton
region, throngs of local baseball fans flock to the riverfront to watch
the Reds each game.
And the Dayton Dragons are a minor league affiliate of the Reds and
this past year set the all-time record for most consecutive sell-outs
in professional sports.
