Lady Wave fall at Piqua

PIQUA - The Greenville Lady Wave started out like a ball of fire, jumping Piqua early and often, staking themselves to a 20-6 halftime lead.

Despite seeing senior Jenna Dowler and Kelsey Tester in double figures with 15 and 10 points respectively, the Wave could not maintain that momentum, falling to the Piqua Lady Indians, 47-44 Monday in GWOC action.

The loss dropped the Wave to 3-17 on the year, and now Greenville will get ready for sectional action in Xenia vs. Kenton Ridge Wednesday starting at 6 p.m.

Versailles will get the post season started Tuesday night at Tipp City as the Lady Tigers will square off against Northridge in a 6 p.m. tip.

Following the Versailles-Northridge game, the Arcanum Lady Trojans will do battle with Miami East. That game is set for a 7:30 starting time.

Saturday at Brookville, Mississinawa Valley will lock horns with Yellow Springs at 11 a.m., Ansonia and Southeastern will follow at approximately 12:30. Top seeded Tri-Village will take on the Jefferson Lady Broncos at @ 3:30 Saturday afternoon.
