Following playoff wins culminating in a 69 to 48 victory over Fort Loramie Saturday, the Tri-Village Lady Patriots climbed onto a bus about 5 p.m. to head to Columbus. They got a restful night at a local hotel in preparation for their semi-final with Berlin Highland at 3 p.m. today.

The win against Fort Loramie was especially noteworthy since the Patriots had ended the Lady Pats’ season the previous two years.

This year was the payback, as Tri-Village ended Fort Loramie’s.

New Madison has been in a celebratory mood ever since. Local resident Amy Farmer had the team over for a house painting party on Sunday. Multiple red and blue spray paint cans were used to decorate the home.

They did an “AWESOME” job, she said!!

Following the team’s departure, celebrants held a parade supporting their hometown team. While County News Online has received no official information about a possible “calamity” day from Tri-Village… many students will be noticeably absent as they head east to support their team today.

CNO Sports Editor George Starks had conflicts and wasn’t able to cover any of the festivities the past few days. He put out the word to a few Tri-Village fans… and the photos started coming in.

That’s ‘signature’ Darke County small town support!

A win today gets the Lady Patriots a shot at the state title on Saturday.
