DARKE COUNTY- With the winter sports season in the books, the scene
shifts back outside as track, baseball, softball and tennis will get
underway.
Today will see a loaded schedule staring at 9 a.m. in Versailles with
the Lady Tiger Classique track meet. Along with host Versailles,
Franklin Monroe, Greenville, Arcanum and Ansonia will participate.
Also on the schedule for today, Lady Wave softball will host a triple
header starting at noon with Milton Union and Wayne. Also, Troy will
play at Ansonia in a 1 p.m. start.
In baseball, Franklin Monroe will play at Bethel in a twin bill with
the first pitch set for noon.
Monday will see a full slate for softball as Versailles will travel to
Arcanum, Franklin Monroe will visit Ft. Recovery, Greenville is at
Urbana and Tri-Village will host National Trail. Also the Patriots and
the Blazers will play baseball at Tri-Village. All are 5 p.m. starts.
In other hardball action Monday, Arcanum is at Versailles while the
Wave will head to Marion Local.
In tennis, Greenville will host Carroll at 4:30 in the city Park.
Tuesday’s softball/baseball schedule will see Riverside at Ansonia,
Randolph Southern (Ind) is at Mississinawa Valley and Troy Christian
visits Tri-Village in 5 p.m. starts.
In softball only Tuesday, Medowdale is at Greenville, Miamisburg goes
to Arcanum and Houston is at Versailles for 5 p.m. starting times.
The Wave tennis team will do battle at Lima Shawnee at 4:30. In
baseball, Wapakoneta is at Greenville.
Tuesday is the Arcanum Track Invitational with Franklin Monroe and
Greenville participating in the Sidney Invitational.
Wednesday, Fairborn visits Greenville for a 5 p.m. softball game while
the Greenville netters will play tennis at Wayne starting at 4:30.
Thursday, Anna and New Knoxville will invade Versailles for a three way
track meet starting at 4:45.
Softball and baseball games will see Ansonia at Ft. Recovery,
Greenville at Springfield (Boys and Girls), Tri-Village at National
Trail (Boys and Girls) and Miami East at Versailles (Boys and Girls).
In baseball only action, Mississinawa Valley is at Ft. Recovery while
Bradford travels to Arcanum.
Friday, Ansonia is at Greenville in softball action while Mississinawa
Valley travels to Ft. Recovery, Franklin Monroe visits Troy. All are 5
p.m. starts.
In baseball/softball combo action, Arcanum is at Twin Valley South.
Baseball only will see Franklin Monroe at Coldwater, Tri-County North
at Greenville, Piqua at Versailles and Union City at Mississinawa
Valley. All times are 5 p.m. starts.
Greenville tennis is at Lehman Catholic for a 4:30 start.
