Eldora Speedway...
Taste the Flavors of Darke County during Dream Week

GREENVILLE – Race fans are a hungry bunch and Darke County has multiple ‘unique’ dining opportunities – a great match that comes together during the Feed The Children Prelude to the Dream, June 6 at Eldora Speedway. To satisfy the hunger and thirst of the thousands of race fans that take up residence at Eldora Speedway, the Darke County Visitors Bureau is hosting the Fifth Annual Race 2 Taste in the multipurpose building on the north end of the track.

Unique restaurants including The Bistro Off Broadway, Michael Anthony’s at The Inn and Danny’s Place will offer sample-size appetizers, entrees and desserts to race fans who may not be familiar with the flavors of Darke County.

Attractions exclusive to Darke County will also be on hand to share information and even samples. KitchenAid Experience® Retail Center will show race fans how to use the world-known KitchenAid Stand Mixer to make coffee drink and appetizers.  Local wines from the Winery at Versailles will also be on hand to sample. The award-winning selection may include favorites like Rodeo Red (the beer-drinkers wine), Darke Red, Buckeye Blush, Merlot, Proprietors White, Wedding White and Peach Mist.

Darke County Parks and Garst Museum will showcase their attractions with costumed speakers, displays and information. Entertainment from local musicians will be featured throughout the day.

The cost of the samples ranges from $.50 to $2.50 depending on the selection. Sample tickets can be purchased at the event which takes place during the tradeshow at The Prelude to The Dream on Wednesday, June 6, from noon to 5:00 pm.
