Fish Choice Pantry (Darke County) & CALL Food Pantry (Mercer County) to Benefit from Events

ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 11) – Eldora Speedway officials, in conjunction with representatives of Feed The Children, announced this week that Fish Choice Pantry (Darke County, Ohio) and CALL Food Pantry (Mercer County, Ohio) will be the benefactors from a pair of promotions surrounding this year’s Feed The Children Prelude to the Dream, slated for Wednesday evening, June 6.

“A Night with the Kennys” will kick things off on Tuesday evening (June 5) in the Eldora Ballroom, as veteran NASCAR drivers Kenny Schrader and Kenny Wallace will entertain the audience with collected anecdotes and tales of their racing careers.   Both are colorful interactive commentators and are known for their intriguing quips.

Advance tickets for this special night, available for a donation of $10, go on sale Tuesday, May 15 via the track office (937) 338-3815 or online www.EldoraSpeedway.com.  With the advance ticket, patrons receive early entry for a special meet and greet with the two Kennys from 7:30 until 8:00 p.m.  Day of event tickets will be available for a donation of $12.

The unscripted, no-holds-barred dialogue, as emceed by veteran broadcaster Ozzie Altman, is slated to commence at 8:30 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase food and toiletries to fill a 53’ semi provided by Feed The Children, and then distributed by Fish Choice Pantry and CALL Food Pantry to Darke and Mercer County families in need.

Schrader and Wallace are among the list of driving superstars that will be competing in Wednesday’s (June 6) charity-driven Feed The Children Prelude to the Dream.   They will be joined by 25 other nationally known drivers from NASCAR, IndyCar, NHRA and the World of Outlaws including Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Newman, Danica Patrick, brothers Kurt and Kyle Busch, defending victor Clint Bowyer, Tony Kanaan, Ron Capps, Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz among others.

On race day, Feed The Children representatives will be stationed at all entrance gates to accept canned non-perishable food items from the fans, for distribution to the designated food pantry groups.   Fans donating five cans or more will receive a complimentary Feed The Children Prelude to the Dream poster as a valuable keepsake item.

Tickets and campsites for the Feed The Children Prelude to the Dream and all other 2012 Eldora Speedway Major Events including the $100,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream presented by Ferris Commercial Mowers (June 8 & 9), $50,000-to-win World of Outlaws Kings Royal (July 14) and 42nd Annual World 100 (Sept. 7 & 8) are available through the speedway box office (937) 338-3815 or online 24 hours a day at www.EldoraSpeedway.com.
