Versailles eliminated by Badin Rams
XENIA – The Versailles Tigers dug a hole early and could never find a
way out of it.
Hamilton Badin scored single runs in the second and third and two runs
in the fourth to post a 5-1 victory over Versailles in the regional
semi-final played in Xenia Thursday.
The
lone run for the Tigers came in the third when catcher Mike
Rutschilling reached on an error and later scored on a rbi single by
Zach
Niekamp.
Versailles was limited to five hits in the game while the Rams
collected nine.
The loss ended the Tigers season with a 23-8 record, a MAC, sectional
and district championship.
