Area teams still looking for state gold

The second week of the OHSAA football run for state gold saw Minster and Marion Local battling each other in D-VI, Region 24.

Friday night, the Flyers outlasted Minster 41-34.

Now, two more MAC teams will do battle in the regional finals when St. Henry will hook up with Marion Local in a game to be played Friday at Harmon Field in Wapakoneta starting at 7:30.

In the D-V, Region 20 finals, the 12-0 Covington Buccs will lock horns with the third team from the MAC, 12-0 Coldwater to be played at Welcome Stadium in Dayton Saturday at 7 p.m.
