BRADFORD- The Bradford Railroaders put up 46 points in the first half to spoil the Arcanum Trojans homecoming, 46 to 13.

When your defense spends most of the night in your opponents’ backfield, only one thing can happen and that would be a first half shut out.

That is where our defense spent most of the night giving the Arcanum offense fits all night long. Every time the Trojans would get something going the Railroader defense would step it up. It was Gill, Parke, Hoelscher, Cline, Gunter, Pullins, Loy, Cassel, Powell, Rench and Rank all putting the pressure on Arcanum all night long.

On the other hand, when your defense is clicking so is your offense and they put up the score to back up the defense. Scoring came from the running game to the passing game. The line gave Wysong time when in the pocket and made some impressive holes for our backs. On the

ground it was another impressive night for Canan. James is getting close to the 2000 yard mark. Cline, Rench, Hafer, Cassel and Wysong all had an outstanding night.

The Railroader reserves were on for the second half and they held their ground with the Arcanum first string. The offense and the defense got a lot of good experience Friday night and I think the future looks bright for the Railroader Nation.

The Bradford Railroaders are now 6 and 1 for the season. We travel to Miami East next Friday to take on the Vikings.

Other Friday night football scores:

Ansonia 14 (1-5), Mississinawa Valley 6 (0-6)
Trotwood 62, Greenville 12 (1-5)
