Despite win, Roaders can't catch a break
By George Starks

BRADFORD- Even though Bradford won big last week over Mississinawa Valley, Roaders coach Curtis Enis and his team can't catch a break.

Last week, Bradford was tied for fourth with Minster but the Wildcats 20-14 win over Versailles last week gave Minster the number four spot in the computer rankings.

With St. Henry on the prowl, Bradford fell from fourth to sixth with the Redskins taking over the five spot.

That brings another tough break to Bradford.

With the way the playoff system works, Bradford would now travel to Marion Local to take on the Flyers while MAC foes St. Henry and Minster would tangle in Minster.

The Roaders need a lot of help if they are to host a first round game and get away from the Mac in that round.

First of all, Bradford will need to take care of business at Twin Valley South Friday night in the last game of the season.

A win over the Panthers is just part of the equation.

Marion Local (7-2) will travel to New Breman (2-7). If the Cardinals could pull off the upset of the Flyers, the Roaders will benefit.

The biggest game of the night in the MAC pits Minster and Delphos St. Johns at Minster. Both teams are 7-2.

If the Blue Jays can get a win, that would play in favor of the Roaders as the Wildcats would lose precious computer points.

The other big game in the MAC that could affect Bradford is Versailles at St. Henry.

Versailles has been knocked out of the playoff picture after losing last week to Minster.

The Redskins (6-3) are fifth in the polls and a Versailles win could play a big part in Bradford's playoff scene.

Sitting at 7-2, Bradford should get some help from teams it has beat during the season. Wins from Bethel, Ansonia, Arcanum, MV, TC North will help the Roaders get a home game.

It's obvious, the cards will fall where they are supposed to, but a first round home game would loom large for Bradford.
