Tickets for March Madness — expected to provide a $10 million economic boost to Dayton — will go on sale this weekend.

The NCAA plans to start selling tickets on Saturday for the Men’s Basketball tournament, which includes 10 games at the University of Dayton Arena during a six-day period.

On March 19 and March 20, the University of Dayton Arena will host the First Four and then host second and third round games on March 22 and March 24.

The First Four Local Organizing Committee in Dayton has been working to develop a strategy for bidding to be host city for the event in 2014 and beyond. Hosting the First Four on an annual basis provides an influx of dollars as well as a national stage for positive publicity.

This season is a bonus year for Dayton as it also gets to host second and third round games.
