Tractors pulls draw big crowds at the fair

GREENVILLE- The 2013 Darke County Fair welcomed in the tractor pullers Tuesday for a day/night session.

Several divisions had top three pullers make full pulls and were forced to go to pull offs.

In the 6,000 lb. Light Unlimited Modified, Scott Walker (Double Nutted) was put in that position before he finally won with a winning pull of 327.175 feet with Dennis Christensen (Pack Rat 4) and Todd Feiss (Feissty Farmer) were second and third with pulls over 300 feet.

While Walker drove the winning tractor, it was his brother-in-law (Adam Bower) that did the talking.

“We got another win and we are still undefeated this season,” said Bower. “My brother-in-law drove tonight and will drive again tomorrow night as we have to be in Michigan tomorrow night with the mini-rods. All he really needs to do is hook to the sled ans we have the points wrapped up.”
