Patriots romp over Brookville

NEW MADISON- The Tri-Village Lady Patriots walked off the floor at New Madison with a 73-49 victory over a very tough D-III team in Brookville.

When the final buzzer had sounded, the Patriots saw senior Shaye Thomas get point number 1,000 in her four year career.

Tri-Village jumped out to the early 4-2 lead and then started to march all over the visiting Blue-Devils.

At the end of the opening frame, the Patriots held a whopping 26-8 advantage.

The second quarter proved to be a horse of a different color as the Patriots could only muster 10 points in the frame but still held a 36-23 lead with the first half in the books.

Thomas hit her 1,000th point in the fourth quarter in a dramatic way.

With just under a minute left to play, Thomas unloaded one from downtown that found the bottom of the net.

Thomas finished with 23 in the game while Krystal Falknor added 20, Echo Brown 11 and Teha Richards 10 in support.
