Versailles Boys Varsity Wins Home Match
Girls Varsity Undefeated; JV teams score wins

The Varsity Boys Bowlers won a tough match this past Saturday against St. Henry at McBo’s Lanes in Versailles to increase their record to 10-3. During the 15 week season, each team only has one home match as all of the teams compete against each other on the same day in the same bowling center.

The first game went to the Tigers by a slim margin of only 10 pins. It was Versailles 962 and St. Henry 952. The second game went to the Redskins by only 3 pins, 966-969. So, going into the 5 Baker Games, Versailles was only up 7 pins. “You guys are a better Baker team than St. Henry.  Just go out and make good shots and let’s put this thing away.”

Versailles came out firing with a 205 to St. Henry’s 168. The Tigers never looked back or lost the lead and finished the last 4 Baker Games 181-138, 181-182, 194-165 and 149-180. The total score ended up 2,838 to 2,754. Out of all 16 team competing Saturday, the 2,838 was the highest total pinfall. “Although we are mathematically eliminated from winning our conference, we can spoil Coldwater’s 13-0 record. Also by defeating Coldwater this week, this will also qualify us for the 2013 Ohio Kickoff Classic in Columbus by finishing in the top 3 in our conference.”

Versailles was led by Nathan Peters with a 219, Michael Davidson 218-214 and Jordan Groff with a 209.
