Local wrestling
teams learn their fate for sectionals
DARKE COUNTY- Greenville, Versailles and Arcanum were given its
sectional tournament draws for the upcoming OHSAA wrestling tournament
Sunday.
The Wave grapplers, D-II, will be in the Tipp City sectional starting
at 10 a.m. on the 16th of February.
In that sectional, the Wave will be up against Bellefontaine, Ben
Logan, Carroll, Milton-Union, Franklin, Oakwood Tipp City, Valley View
and Monroe.
In the D-III sectional, Arcanum and Versailles will head to Sidney's
Lehman Catholic starting on February 15.
Catholic Central, Covington, Emmanuel Christian, Lehman Catholic,
Mechanicsburg, Miami East, National Trail, Northeastern, Riverside,
Southeastern, Tri-County North, Triad, Troy Christian and West
Liberty-Salem will provide the competition for the Tigers and Trojans.
The top four wrestlers in each weight class from the Lehman sectional
will qualify for the district tournament, which will be held Feb. 22
and 23 at Kettering Fairmont.
