“Say Hey” Shay is headed back to STATE!

Shay LaFollette will be returning to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY to compete in the 100 Meter Hurdles with Josh Hoelscher and Bailey Brewer joining her. All had a record setting season seasons with Lafollette setting seven records to date quite an accomplishment.

Hoelscher broke the Pool Vault record set by Dean Shafer from 1958 at the height of 11’6”. The new record set by Hoelscher is now 12’2”.

 Brewer set two records in the 800 Meter Run and 1600 Meter Run.

Coach LaFollette and the Railroader Track Team have been very successful once again this year and will be bringing back some talent for the 2014 track season.

800 Meter Run – Bailey Brewer 2:31.58 accomplished 5-25
1600 Meter Run – Bailey Brewer 6:02.72 accomplished 4-23
100 Meter Dash – Shay LaFollette 13.2 hand timed (add .24) 13.44 accomplished 5-13
100 Meter Hurdles * – Shay LaFollette 15.24 accomplished 3-30
High Jump – Shay LaFollette 5’1” accomplished 4-26
Long Jump – Shay LaFollette 16’4” accomplished 4-17
Shot Put – Shay LaFollette 30’1 1⁄2” accomplished 4-23
Season Points * – Shay LaFollette 358.75
Career Points * – Shay LaFollette 937.75
* Athlete is still competing in these events and very possibly could break these marks.
