V-Lady Tigers undefeated in Mac golf play

VERSAILLES- When Versailles and St. Henry squared off at Stillwater golf club Monday, both team came in undefeated.

Versailles remained that way, downing the Redskins 186-200 to take over sole possession of first place in the Mac to go to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the conference.

Brooke Wehrkamp led the field shooting a 43 for the nine-hole round while Elizabeth White shot a 45, Hannah Niekamp  (48), Emily Harman a 50, Madison Covault (51), and Katie Heckman a 53

Taylor Koesters led St. Henry by shooting a nine hole round of 44.

With a season average of 180, Versailles coach Vickie Olwine said there is always room for improvement as the 186 team score was six shots over the season average.

The Tigers have one MAC match remaining on the schedule, playing at Minster Thursday, looking to finish with a perfect conference record.

The MAC meet then will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Arrowhead Golf Club in Minster.
