Lady Roaders continue to set records
Capture win in 4th overtime

BROOKVILLE - Bradford posted its record setting 20th win of the season but it didn't come easy.

With things knotted up at 37-37 at the end of regulation, it took the Lady Roaders four overtimes before grabbing a 60-57 victory over Southeastern Saturday at Brookville.

Bradford Senior Brooke Dunlevy gave the Railroaders the lead for good with 1:21 left in the 4th overtime.

Dunlevy and Gabby fair then each hit a free throw in the final 26 second to give Bradford a 3 point lead. Southeastern had a three point shot at the buzzer spin out of the basket.

With the win, the Roaders advanced to the District next week at Tipp City.

Bradford will get the winner of the Lehman Catholic/Ft. Loramie game starting at 1 pm.

Tri-Village upended by Covington
Pats season comes to a halt

BROOKVILLE- It's never easy to beat a team twice in the same year and Tri-Village knows full well as to how true that is.

After beating Arcanum inn the title game in the Burkett Tournament, the Patriots fell to the Trojans in conference play.

On December 16, the Patriots traveled to Covington for a conference game with the Lady Buccs, pulling out a 39-34 victory.

Saturday, the two teams hooked up for the second time this season with a sectional title on the line.

Covington put three girls in double figures, Jessie Crowell 27, Cassidy Cain 13 and Brooke Gostomski 10, as Covington gained a measure of revenge on the Patriots, claiming a 58-45 victory.

Covington used a huge second quarter, outscoring Tri-Village 18 to 11, to grab the lead and then after the Patriots closed to within 5 in the frame, made 17 free throws in the final minutes to win the Sectional Title.

Covington avenged a regular season loss with the win over the top seeded Patriots. The Buccs were the 6th seed.

The Buccs win ended 4 straight seasons of Sectional Titles for Tri-Village.
