Versailles girls swim team wins Butler Invitational

VERSAILLES - Congratulations to the Versailles High School girls swim team for winning the Vandalia Butler Invitational held on Dec. 21, at Wright State University. Team scores: 1st place, Versailles, 489; 2nd place, Kettering Fairmont, 336; 3rd place, Talawanda, 325; 4th place, Troy, 250; 5th place, Xenia, 193; 6th place, Vandalia Butler, 170; 7th place, Northmont, 145; 8th place, Bellbrook, 135; 9th place, Waynesville, 61; 10th place, West Carrolton, 46; 11th place, Stebbins, 10.

Versailles boys swim team fifth at Butler Invitational

VERSAILLES - The Versailles High School boys finished 5th at the Vandalia Butler Invitational on Dec. 21 at Wright State University. Team scores: 1st place, Talawanda, 422; 2nd place, Kettering Fairmont, 375.5; 3rd place, Vandalia Butler, 333; 4th place, Troy, 251; 5th place, Versailles, 247; 6th place, Northmont, 229; 7th place, Bellbrook, 141.5; 8th place, Xenia, 118; and 9th place, Waynesville, 35.

Mitchell Stover once again broke a school record. He swam the 50 yard backstroke as the first leg of the 200 yard Medley Relay in 24.61 breaking his previous record of 24.94 set on Feb. 15.
