Arcanum tops both boys and girls in quad meet

PITTSBURG- The Arcanum Trojans won both ends of the Franklin Monroe quad meet Tuesday.

The Trojan boys finished the night with 85.5 points while the host Jets were second with 84.5 points. Tri-Village was third (37) and Bradford fourth with 27 points.

Arcanum's girls posted 81 points with the Lady Jets picking up 66.5 points for second.

Bradford rolled into third place with 65 points as the Lady Patriots tallied 33.5 points.

On the boys side of the ledger, the Trojans picked up first place wins in the high jump, pole vault, shot put, 110 hurdles, the 4x400 relay, 800 meters and the 1600 meter run.

Franklin Monroe won the long jump and picked up second and fourth place points in the event. The Jets also shined in the discus and the 4x200.

Tri-Village won the 4x800 relay as well as the 3200 meters while Bradford won the 4x100, the 300 hurdles and the 200 meters.

On the girls scorecard, it was Bradford that picked up the majority of the wins with Shay Lafollette picking up three wins for the Lady Roaders with victories in the 100 meters, long jump and the 300 hurdles. Bradford, with seven first place finishes, couldn't overcome the team efforts of Arcanum and host Franklin Monroe.

The Trojans won in the pole vault, shot put, discus and the 4x200 relay while Franklin Monroe was tops in the high jump, 4x100 and 300 hurdles.

Tri-Village picked up wins in the 4x800 relay and the 3200 meter run.
