By Naiesha Thobe

The Greenville High School Wavaires had the opportunity to perform live with Foreigner Sunday night. The performance went great and the crowd loved the display of not only the professional, well-known band, but the Wavaires performance as well.

Jeanna Gnade, Senior member of Wavaires, said that they were very excited about the chance to perform with Foreigner: "... We'd already gotten to perform in NYC and now to perform with professionals, it just felt awesome".

Not to say that nerves didn't get the better of them: up until the moment of, they were excited to be part of this performance. But, through the giggling and excitement, "we all knew we were nervous".

Despite the nerves, it was a memorable experience. Adam Hickerson, another member, said that the best part was "getting to interact with the band in front of a screaming, sold out crowd". Evan Kiser said that Foreigner said "it was a pleasure having" them being part of their performance.

No matter who you talked to about that night, one thing was in common in their statements: it was a night to remember in more ways than one.
