Day and Night

VERSE ONE: SUNSET TO MOON RISE
1as the sun sets and day is nigh
all of my hopes
all of my dreams
all of my
wishes
await me then on the other side
as daylight fades away
into the rebirth of night
awe the stars appear
twinkling
like diamonds
up above so very high . . .
2as the sun sets then the moon rises
With the stars in stead
to begin their nighttime show
as ballerinas in the sky
dancing across the sky
as many nighttime
slumberers
dare to make a wish
praying it then comes true . . . .
so then as nighttime arrives
i then am well for all my hope remains-
3so sets the sun and rises the moon
And then I begin to dream once more
of a different life than the one i live
praying another way and place
yet I know full well
that all of this was to be
and then once more i hope
and then once more i trust
for my dreams,
for my wishes,
for my
ponderings
are
not that far
out of reach
of me
then i will press onwards,
then i will continue forwards,
then i will keep moving onwards
4for the night scares me not
and the fading sunset does not
dampen all of my dreams
for I am but a mere dreamer
i am solely a
wisher
longing for so more
longing for so much
than all of this
all of this than.
VERSE TWO: DAY 2 NIGHT
5night or day
I shalln’t be detured
I shall not be turned
i will continue
going forwards moving onwards
so as daylight fades into darkness
all of my dreams and wishes
will not fade away
will not cease to be
for as long as hope resides:
i shall wish wishes
i shall dream dreams,
for as long as love remains:
i shall
wish wishes
i shall dream dreams,
for as long as faith lasts:
i shall wish wishes
i shall dream dreams,
6for all of the day has waited for now
and the nighttime held out for neigh
so then do not fear
so then do not worry
for as long as faith lasts,
for so long as love remains,
for as long hope resides,
there will be a future
a chance and a will
for all
dreamers
and their
wishes
to come to pass and into being
VERSE THREE: HOPE 4 TODAY
7for hope shall not abade us now
and love abadone us yet
nor shall faith forsake you
for day or night
your love is the same
so then my faith lasts,
so then my faith remains,
so then my faith resides,
b/c you are with me always!
b/c you are by me!
b/c you are forever with me!
8as the day goes away and
the sun bide farewell for now
oh the night time says hello
as the stars and moon
rise up above
and all the world
ready one and all
so then i will
carry on and hang tight
for you won’t ever let go
b/c you always hold on!
for you won’t give up on me
and i never on you!
for surely daylight
shall soon return and hope abide!
FOR U MY FRIEND
Side by side do we walk
With your hand with mine,
Together we stand united
By a love binding us
Against all odds we have stood
The test of time a friendship
United by our love in Christ
Forever more longer still shall
I remain with you
For you know that no other love
But God’s alone can hold us together
Even when I am a brat
Don’t call nor talk to you in like forever
Still then do we remain friends
A sisterhood then we share
Spread fast against the many miles
Near and far you know we are
Yet that does not matter
When I need you most of all,
God knows,
You’ll be there
A drop of a dime,
For you know
Ya will always be my friend
During the tear stained moments
When hugs were
all
I needed,
Because you are a true friend
And we are sisters ‘till the very
End of time and space
Still then shall we be walking
Side by side
For that is the way
That we were meant to be.

FORWARDS AND BACKWARDS
1 two steps forwards, no wait
five steps backwards i go ...
why must every step of progress
be going in the right direction
always be leading me to take back
five or more steps backwards?
2 it is as if for every step of
progress in the right direction,
i end up taking oh so very many
steps backwards undoing all
the work i’ve done to get ahead ...
3 life is like the greatest game
you have ever played or ever will-
for just when you’ve mastered the
current level, another one reloads
and you find that level
was even harder than the one
preceding it was ...
4 then you find out about
half-way thru that level
that you have to go back
to level one and start
all over again at the
very place in which
it all began in the
very first place ...
5 so with every step forward,
i take twice if not three
times as many steps backwards
as i do forwards ...
here i go again
off to be a shero
once again i know
that i don’t stand
all alone by myself,
and i am never alone
so here i go off to
face the world ...
