Overwhelmed by God's
Love

A few weeks ago I wrote to you about the West Ohio Girls Chrysalis
flight that went on in Piqua, Ohio on the weekend of January 19th. Here
with me today is Becca Riffell who is one of the most recent
butterflies of the Chrysalis community.
Becca went on the girls flight last month and agreed to share her
testimony of the weekend with you. So without further ado, here is
Becca with the story of her recent Chrysalis experience.
Becca: Hi! Honestly I don't even know where to start. Chrysalis is a
one in a lifetime chance and I encourage every teenager seeking to know
God on a more intimate level to go!
For almost two months before going, I prayed for God to show me the
depth of His love. Of course I knew God loved me because He loves
everyone. That's obvious information right? I just wanted Him to show
me the depth of His love.
This was something that I so deeply longed for and I begged for it in
prayer daily. After two months of praying the same prayer, I started to
wonder why God wasn't answering me.
Just when I began giving up on getting my answer, I attended Chrysalis.
Sunday night, God revealed Himself to me and poured out His love on me
like I had never felt before. Before going, I thought that I was living
a life that honored God, and I was, but He revealed to me small areas
that I wasn't fully surrendering like fear, shame, etc.
Wrapped in his love, I cried out surrendered areas of my life that I
didn't even realize were issues, and replaced the hole in my heart that
I was filling with lies with His unfailing love.
After that weekend, I will never be the same. Chrysalis is one
amazingly unforgettable weekend. This experience has changed my life.
