Introducing Tiffany
My Love of Animals
By Tiffany Beumer

My name is Tiffany Beumer, and I am twenty years old. I am the only child of Kevin and Angela Beumer. My parents own the Chicken Kitchen II, where I have worked for seven years. I grew up and live on a farm in Greenville.

I am a 2010 graduate from Greenville Senior High. I was an eight year member of the Fun Bunch 4-H club; I showed poultry at the fair and was in the showman of showman competition in 2009 and 2011. I was the Second Runner up Darke County Fair Queen in 2010. I was a thirteen year member of Girl Scouts, in which I received the bronze, silver, and gold awards. I wrote for the Teen Advocates for four years, where I held the position of assistant editor and web master.

Over the years I have grown a passion for writing. I love being able share my opinions and stories with those who are interested in reading what I have to say.

I absolutely love animals. My family and I have several dogs we have rescued over the years; I feel as though I should share their stories as well because they are a huge part of who I am.

Our oldest dog is Sabrina. She is a female beagle and is eight years old; her life deserves a whole story of its own (coming soon).

Snoopy was once known as “Lumpy.” He is a male shihtzu approximately eight years old. My father and I were listening to ‘market time’ on 97.5, and heard of a lady interested in giving away a free shihtzu. At that time I was a sophomore in high school and wanting a dog of my own. My dad and I called about him, she proceeded to inform us there were several other people on their way to get him and he was first come first serve. Needless to say we hopped in the truck and raced to get him, turns out we were the first to show. We instantly fell in love with him and took him to his new home. Snoopy had barbed wire mangled into his fur and clearly had not been to a groomer in some time. Snoopy now lives happily in our family and fits in perfectly; of course he loves to see his groomer on a regular basis.

Buddy (formerly known as Rusty) is our six year old male beagle; he just happens to be Sabrina’s son. He had been given to a new home as a puppy, but he just didn’t fit in with them. When Buddy was about a year old he found his way back into our family, after some training he fits in wonderfully.

Midnight is approximately eight years old and is a bull mastiff lab mix female. Her former family had to move away and decided we would be the perfect home for her.

Drayden is our seven year old miniature pinscher male. Drayden’s former family had a new baby that didn’t work out with him; we heard the word and now he is a ‘baby’ himself.

I have two personal pets of my own. Halley is my nine month old female beagle. She is named after Halleys Comet. Halley’s an absolutely incredible and remarkable dog. Peaches is my kitten. She is approximately eleven months old. She was born in a barn; I took her in as a young kitten. All of my pets have their very own personalities and they each have a piece of our heart.

Now you know part of who I am. I could write twenty pages about myself, but then I would be almost out of stories to tell.
