MVCTC Graphic Art Students Get Real
Seniors visited local employers to learn about careers in Graphic Arts

Dayton, Ohio - Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) senior Graphic Commercial Art classes visited area businesses on October 26.

K12 Gallery & TEJAS is a regional visual arts center offering innovative visual arts programs for all ages in Dayton, Ohio. These programs include art classes, in school and after school art education programs, summer art camps, field trips, professional exhibitions, public art, workshops, community outreach, and art parties for all ages. K12 Gallery & TEJAS, a nonprofit arts organization, is located in the heart of Dayton at 341 S. Jefferson St.

Think Patented is a promotional marketing and printing company. According to their website, “Printing has been our core business since 1979. But we can deploy your marketing initiatives across many communications channels, giving your marketing efforts a much broader, more effective platform. Our new 75,000 sq. ft. facility is located minutes from downtown Dayton, in the heart of one of the nation's largest 90-minute land and air travel markets. We are a multi-product distributor and proud member of the Advertising Specialty Institute. Promotional products make up a nearly $17-billion-dollar industry and are used by virtually every business in America.”

What started almost 50 years ago as the Montgomery County Joint Vocational School (JVS) has transformed into the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC). While the name has changed, the mission remains the same. MVCTC is dedicated to providing training for in-demand jobs and college-readiness skills for high school and adult students across Darke, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren Counties.
