County News Online
CNO looking for
writers, photographers, sponsors
County News Online is a volunteer-based community service website. Its
purpose is three-fold: to support the Darke County community with
relevant information, especially about its young people; provide an
opportunity for writers, photographers and other artists to publish
their efforts; and raise funds for the Senior Scribes Scholarship Fund.
Do you like to write or take pictures? Are you active in your
community, church or other organizations? Do you regularly attend
community or school events? How about your college experiences? If so,
and you would like to share that information, CNO wants you!
We want to know about your meetings, community service efforts,
educational experiences, participation in local events… any other area
which would be of interest to our more than 25,000 unique visitors each
month.
As a fundraising arm of SSSF and in order to provide this online
service CNO needs sponsors. Since 2009 SSSF has raised $56,000 to help
Darke County youth achieve their college goals. Since 2011 CNO has been
instrumental in raising over half of that amount.
SSSF is a 501c3 organization. As a fundraising arm of SSSF sponsorships
and donations to CNO may be tax deductable. Your financial help will be
recognized and appreciated.
