Injury accident
in Gettysburg
On June 17, 2016 at approximately 7:59 PM Darke County Deputies along
with Gettysburg Fire and Gettysburg Rescue were dispatched to the
intersection of E. Main St. and Clay St. in the Village of Gettysburg
reference a two vehicle, injury crash. Investigation revealed
that one of the drivers, Ryan Campbell, 17, of rural Greenville,
driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix, was westbound on E. Main St. when he
attempted to turn left onto Clay St. Campbell failed to yield to
a 1989 Chevrolet pick up, driven by Shaun Idle, 25, of Rossburg, which
was eastbound on E. Main St.
Careflight responded to the scene and Idle was flown to Miami Valley
Hospital where he was treated and released. Campbell was cited
for failure to yield while turning left.
