York Recognized for Dean's Honor List at Cedarville University

Cedarville, OH (March 4, 2018) - Kassidy Lynn York of Greenville has been recognized for achieving the Dean's Honor List for fall semester 2017 at Cedarville University. Students on the Dean's Honor List have achieved 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Ms. York is majoring in Middle Childhood Education and minoring in Biblical Studies. During her first semester at Cedarville University, she became a member of Sanctify Ministries an organization which aims to help young women with spiritual, physical and emotional purity. She also was a Small Group Leader at Junior Jam an annual event that welcomes hundreds of young students from churches around the country to the campus of Cedarville University to learn about God while getting to experience college life. Ms. York was also chosen as a Lead Team Member in her dorm develop her personal leadership skills while promoting community fellowship amongst her unit mates. She also volunteered as a Small Group Leader at CU LEAD, a Leadership Conference that welcomes hundreds of high school juniors and seniors to the campus of Cedarville University for a weekend to learn about developing their leadership skills in the places God put them.

Ms. York is being considered for the position of Campus Experience Team Member on the Student Campus Activity Board and a STING Group Leader for Getting Started Weekend in for the 2018/2019 school year. Finally, York has also been accepted to study abroad in Ireland for several weeks this May term. For more information on her opportunity to study in Ireland, a GoFundMe page as been created.

Ms. York is a 2017 graduate of Greenville High School, the sister of Brayden, a 2016 Greenville High School Graduate and Navy Reservist and the daughter of Joe and Deanna York.
